Gage Lincoln was recognized for his “fortitude and service to others” at the Allegany County Youth Recognition Awards dinner at Moonwinks on April 19th.  It is awarded to individuals excelling in community service, who have also overcome obstacles or challenges in their personal lives. Recipients received a certificate from Congress, presented by Sen. Cathy Young, and a cash reward. He was recommended by Mrs. Foster, Mrs. Calanni, and Ms. Pamela Miller, all who cited his work on his Eagle Scout project. They described Gage as “self-aware…full of introspection…a better person…and an enricher of others’ lives.” Gage has dedicated himself to his community as a member of the Belfast Ambulance Squad, an altar boy for the Catholic Church, and a Junior Firefighter. We are proud of all of Gage’s accomplishments. He has definitely grown up into a well-respected young man. Congratulations on your Allegany County Youth Bureau Award and good luck on your future endeavors.
