On Saturday, May 20th, Collin “Rodeo-Star” Davis participated in a Horse Show at Irving, NY.  Shows usually last around seven hours, but this one went for fourteen hours.

Collin completed many races that day on his horse Farley in multiple classes. Those classes included 4D barrels, 3D barrels, open barrels, open poles, and 3D poles —  every single class. Collin took home three 1st place trophies, one 2nd place trophy, and one 4th place trophy, along with a grand money prize of $380.00. Possibly the reason behind his great performance is behind his fans which included his girlfriend, her parents, and his best friend, Devon Judd. The one thing he said he could’ve done  better was to race a little faster. He said that he went too slow, but there was nothing he could’ve done about it because some other competitors were just faster than him. “The competition was normal, nothing special, I was just too slow, I should’ve gone faster.”

Davis’s previous accomplishments include winning $1,200 at a Chemung County Fair. But, his favorite place is a six-day long rodeo in Lawrenceville, PA, Gee’s Rodeo. “It’s one of the most fun places to be.” He also mentioned a rodeo in Ellicottville which lasts four days and happens right around 4th of July weekend. Collin plans to continue horse shows for the rest of his life as a hobby. He really expressed his enjoyment for the thrill of the race and excitement of the ride.  Congratulations Collin!
