Children should not be forced to play organized sports at a young age.

Children become tired of playing by the time that they reach their teenage years.  Some kids are involved with a sport’s team year round with little time for anything else. According to a CNN researcher from the National Alliance of Sports, “If your daughter or son plays on a soccer team, seven out of 10 of the members of that team won’t be playing soccer or any organized sport whatsoever by the time they enter their teenage years.” Yet again, that depends on the coaching. If the coach makes it a fun experience, then the kids will want to play more and become teenage athletes.

Kids refuse to listen to doctors about recovery time and often enter back into the game before they are healed.  This can be dangerous and have lifelong consequences.

Kids decide they want to get back into A game before they are physically able, but yet THEY’RE mentally ready. This can lead to huge problems like torn ligaments and brain injury and re-breaking of bones.

Children that are forced to play organized sports at a young age, they might not play later on in life, but if they are in a good environment, they are  bound to play. Children should not be forced to play organized sports at a young age.
