One of the new teachers we will be welcoming this year is Jason Robichaud.  Mr. Robichaud will be the Special Education teacher for Kindergarten through fourth grade. He grew up near Lockport, New York and attended Starpoint High School. Mr. Robichaud decided to become a teacher because he has always admired and respected all his teachers and he also had a desire to provide students with the same type of education that he had.

Before becoming a teacher, Mr. Robichaud attended Niagara County Community College, where he received an associates degree in Liberal Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences. At Buffalo State College, Mr. Robichaud earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Childhood Education. He currently attends St. Bonaventure University, where he is acquiring a Master’s in Education in Differentiated Instruction and Students with Disabilities and Gifted Education. During college, Mr. Robichaud worked as a waiter and owned a landscaping company. After graduating from Buffalo State, he moved to South Carolina before moving back to New York. He was also a substitute teacher for two and a half years at Belfast Central School before accepting this position.

Now, Mr. Robichaud resides in Wellsville with his two dogs, Max and Zoey, and wife, Ashley. They enjoy taking their dogs on hikes and swimming. They also enjoy spending time with their two nieces and nephews. This summer, they went on a road trip to Nashville, Tennessee, and New Orleans, Louisiana.

We are very excited to welcome Jason Robichaud to Belfast this year!
