On Sunday, Oct. 22, Coach Mrs. Ross and the Belfast-Friendship volleyball team hosted a special walk, “Legging it for Lucy.” Lucy is a Belfast kindergartner who was diagnosed with renal cancer. There was a giant turnout for this event, pulling in over 100 people from all around. It was a 2.5 mile walk on the streets of Belfast that started and ended at the school. It was very fun and heartwarming. Over $11,000 was raised in pledges and donations, which is incredible and will be of substantial help to Lucy’s family. Thank you to anybody who participated, bought bracelets, or pledged money!!!
