Willy Wonka Takes the Stage

Sadie Estabrook, Writer, Editor

Belfast Central School’s first theatrical production of the year is ready for the stage! An extremely talented group of third through sixth graders will be putting on two amazing performances of Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka KIDS directed by Mrs. Jessica Romance and Mrs. Rebekah Brennan. The show will be in Belfast Central School’s auditorium at 6:00 pm on Friday (10/28) and 2:00 pm on Saturday (10/29). Admission is free for all!

The cast and crew of the show are excited and ready to entertain! These students have been dedicated and persevering, and it shows through in their performance. When asked what she was most excited about, Elsa Brennan (who is starring as Charlie!) said, “I’m most excited to see how the audience reacts to the show!” Stagehand Sarah Hazelton’s favorite scene is “The Nut Room because of how good Veruca’s song is and the way the squirrels act!”

BCS encourages the community to show their support for these students and our school’s theatre department by attending!
