Feline Friends: Meet Miho and Chonkers!

Feline+Friends%3A+Meet+Miho+and+Chonkers%21

Today I would like to write about my two cats, Miho and Chonkers! But before we get into their daily shenanigans, here is a quick introduction of each of them.

This is Miho! She is a little calico kitty, and as of right now she is around a year old. Miho is sweet cat with a spunky personality. I guess that you could say she was a stray kitten before we took her in. The story of how we came across her is quite amusing. One hot summer day, she just wondered into the car shop where my dad works, meowing. Her face was all scratched up and her paw pads were practically raw. None of my dad’s coworkers could keep her, so my dad took her home with him. We weren’t even planning on keeping her, we were going to give her to another family—but Miho managed to wiggle a way into all of our hearts. We’ve had her since 7/21/22 and we presume she was only around 5 weeks old when we brought her home. Nowadays, she likes to spend her time perched on the very top of her cat tower, stare out the window, sleep in my parent’s room, or sleep on one of her two chairs that she has claimed for herself.

And this is Mr. Chonkers! Chonkers for short. He is a light orange tabby cat, and he was born 4/14/22. We have had Chonkers ever since he was born. We chose Chonkers because he was very sweet, and also the biggest kitten there by far, hence the name Chonkers. We originally thought that he would make a great outdoor cat because of his size (as of right now, he’s around 14lbs) but he ended up being far too sweet and skittish to keep outside. And he has just the right temperament to be a permanent inside kitty, so we brought him in a month or two after initially keeping him. Now he spends his time laying on bags, random surfaces, and in boxes. He also loves to stare out of windows and cat-growl at any birds he sees flying around outside. Chonkers also is a very silly cat and likes to sit like he is a human. I like to say he looks like a croissant when he does this.
