Kerri Smith Davis

Kerri Smith Davis was a student at Belfast Central School and graduated fourteen years ago, in 2002. Her favorite high school memories are sports, art, community events, and as she puts it, “an amazing group of teachers, peers, and best friends!”

Kerri is currently a teacher for BOCES at Friendship Central School and graduated from St. Bonaventure University and Nova Southeastern University. Her majors were Dual Certification Elementary and Special Education, plus a master’s degree in Reading K-12.

Now a passionate educator, Kerri’s early steps to success were in the halls of BCS. Her advice to current students is: “Do not ignore the benefits of a community college, especially in the pursuit of a four year degree! Volunteer in the areas you are interested in before making it a career. What you think you want can always change. Be kind, always.” I personally loved her last statement because kindness is important.  Kerri Smith Davis is a wonderful example because she values education and kindness.
