Paul Vienna Gym Update
April 21, 2017
Last year, the school district approved a capital building project to update our athletic facilities. One of those projects began over spring break. Next year, the Paul Vienna Gymnasium will have a new look. The gym is receiving a new wood floor, replacing the rubber floor that student athletes have played on since the 1990s. This last basketball season was the last season that student athletes played on the rubber floor. The bulldog that was in the center circle will be hung in the corridor near the aud. Currently, ESE (Evingham Site Excavation), the company working on the project, is in the process of taking down the old basketball backboards in preparation for installing the new backboards. It is estimated that the entire gym project will take six months. Before this project, only two schools in Allegany County still had rubber floors, G-V’s elementary gym being the other gym. We look forward to using our updated facilities!

1) I think it would be cool to learn about the history of the gym. Prior remodels.
2)what other remodels are to come?
3)how much did all of this cost?

You should take some picture as time gradually goes on to see the differences
