Ashley Yackeren graduated from BCS in 2002 and went to St. Bonaventure University, where she majored in Business Administration, and her current job is as an executive administrative assistant at Dresser-Rand in Wellsville. Her favorite memory from high school is seeing the entire school and town come together to support the boys and girls soccer teams. Everyone had noisemakers and represented their school proudly, no matter the temperatures.   She also observes that “the friendships created during high school can last a lifetime. We aren’t as close as we once were, but when we are together we can pick up right where we left off.” Ashley gave three pieces of advice for current BCS students.  One, go to a community college first to get your basic courses out of the way and get a clue of what you want to do.  Second, take college classes offered to you, and take BOCES if you feel that is the path you want to take.  Third, don’t be afraid to try new things, work in unfamiliar jobs, and meet new people.
