I am writing a novel in my spare time. The novel so far has nine chapters, but Chapter Nine is not done. I first started in April or May of last year. The plot is that HAL 9,000, the main villain of 2001: A Space Odyssey, has been reactivated, and it’s up to me, Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and a few other familiar faces to stop HAL before he manages to take over Earth.

Some of the main characters include: Me (McKayla), Steve Jobs (Creator Of Apple), Bill Gates (Founder Of Microsoft), Bill Nye, and many others.

Here is a sneak peek of Chapter One:

     I woke up on a spaceship. I don’t know how I ended up on there, but I did. I floated over to the immensely complicated controls.

“Oh dear…” I muttered as I looked down at all the gadgets and buttons.

Someone touched my shoulder. I whipped my head around, only to see the creator of Apple, Steve Jobs.

     “I think it might help if you turn the ship on!” he told me as he leaned over and turned on the ship.

The whole place lit up.  “There, is that better?” Steve asked me.

     I looked down at the panel again, and it still looked pretty complicated to me. I looked up at him with a worried face.

     “Ah, so you don’t know how to control a ship. Well… neither do I…” Steve jobs admitted. He blushed in embarrassment.

I wondered, how on Earth was he still alive, talking to me?! I thought that he died in 2011.

     “Um, excuse me, Mr. Jobs?” I asked him politely.

     “Yes?” he asked me in return.

     “How are you alive, I thought you died…” I replied in a confused tone.

He turned to look at me, and he then realized what happened.

     “I am not sure, must be a miracle!” Steve finally said after five minutes of thinking.

     “You know what else would be a miracle?” I asked him.

     “What?” He asked in return.

     “If we could go back to Earth… “ I said while pointing out the window of the ship.

Steve looked out of the window, and couldn’t believe what he saw. Me and him had flew all the way to Pluto right now. He was so shocked he didn’t know what to do.
